Lyla is getting involved with and raising money for Seeds of Peace, an organization dedicated to the pursuit of peaceful change in communities divided by conflict.

“I chose this charity for my Mitzvah project because I think that all people should get along with each other no matter their race, religion, sexual orientation or any other difference they may have from one another. Right now, with the war in Ukraine, all the increase in antisemitism and racial discrimination, it seems like an important time to be supporting an organization the promotes the understanding and coexistence of our differences. Our differences are what make us all special and Seeds of Peace helps people see those special qualities in others that they may never have had the opportunity to see otherwise.”

By providing spaces for meaningful, productive, and educational human interaction, we believe that individuals and communities will take the lead to challenge the status quo and work for a more just, humane, and peaceful future.

Invitations are out!

Invitations are on the way and we are hopefully receiving tons of RSVPs!

COVID-19 Requirements

We all know these things are changing daily.  But, as it stands now, our synagogue, Congregation Ner Tamid, has strict COVID-19 guidelines. All participants are required to show proof of vaccination, with booster (if applicable) or show proof of a negative test (PCR or Antigen, including home test) taken within 24 hours of the event.  Masks will be required.

Dress Code

For the services, traditional formal religous attire is appropriate.  Men over the age of 13 will be asked to where a kippah (yarmulke) on their head and a tallus on their shoulders.  These will be provided.
